Mission and Activities VALA was created to promote the vital and vibrant artistic community and serves as a conduit for creative synergy between talented local artists, local businesses, and patrons of the arts in order to energize and support the arts in the area. The organization operates through member participation and offers various opportunities for artists to showcase their work and teach workshops.
The Visual Arts League of Allen (VALA) was created in partnership with the Allen Arts Alliance to promote the vital and vibrant artistic community Allen Arts Alliance. VALA is a member of the Allen Arts Alliance, which is a non-profit organization dedicated to bringing arts and culture to Allen/McKinney/Fairview and surrounding communities.
Allen Arts Alliance The Allen Arts Alliance serves as the foundational organization that supports multiple arts groups in Allen.
Blue House Too Gallery and Artspace is the realization of Allen Arts Alliance’s vision of a vibrant non-profit art space in our community. Visit the gallery at 970 Watters Creek Blvd., Allen TX 75013
VALA's places rotating displays of member artwork in venues throughout our local area, transforming everyday spaces into galleries that bring art directly to the public. Our exhibitions appear in a recreation center, historic building and in Blue House Too in Watter’s Creek, making art accessible beyond traditional gallery settings.
Each exhibition features carefully curated selections of member work across various media and styles, with displays typically running 1-2 months before a completely new show. We handle all aspects of installation, promotion, and coordination, making participation seamless for host venues. Our program includes presentation materials, artist information, and promotional support that benefits both the artists and hosting businesses.
We are actively expanding partnerships with local businesses and city government in cooperation with Allen Arts Alliance to increase exhibition opportunities, creating a network of art-friendly venues that celebrate creativity while enhancing the cultural atmosphere of our community.
